The spec lists every opening with its size, handing, door and frame type, hardware set, rating where it applies, and a price range per opening. Property managers use it for capital approval, general contractors drop it into submittals, and owners use it to compare apples to apples. If something changes on site, the spec is updated in writing, so the number you approve is the number you are working from.
