The Challenge
A retail developer on Queen West had three storefront bays to deliver on a fixed tenant turnover date, and did not want framing, glazing and doors split across trades.
Scope
- Kawneer storefront framing, clear anodized
- Sealed IGU and safety glazing at doors and sidelites
- Aluminum entrance doors with closers and deadlocks
- Anchor and threshold details in the CAD spec
Our Approach
We took the framing, glazing and entrances as one package. The written scope listed glass makeup, anchor spacing and threshold detail before anything was ordered.
Bays were installed one at a time behind hoarding, with sealing and threshold details checked before glazing.
Outcome
Inspections passed the first time and the bays were ready for tenant turnover on the agreed date.
